The Plan
I'm thrilled you've decided to learn more! My goal is to raise £500 to support young people and I'm doing this by offering affordable advertising space on the Learning To Code After Forty website. For just £1 GBP a month, you can secure a spot and make a meaningful contribution to this meaningful cause.
Money Raised So Far:
Currently, the site has no affiliate links sponsorship or adverts and I've never earned or made any money from the site or any of the links here. Every bit of content is created and funded by me alone, with the goal of providing an honest and helpful resource for the programming community.
I designed, built and run the Learning to Code After Forty website as a free resource to inspire and inform others - a way to give something back to the community that gave to me. Now, I’ve found an additional purpose for the website: to raise funds for a cause close to my heart - a give without take.
I Want To Support Those Who Support Young People
Like many young people, I grew up in a challenging and sometimes unstable family environment. However, I was fortunate to cross paths with a few incredibly kind souls who invested their time by offering me support and guidance when I needed it most.
Their generosity and kindness begain the process of changing my life around and both of them left a lasting impact on me, and for that, I am truly grateful.
I understand how vital opportunities and support are for young people, especially in these challenging times. Having benefited from support myself, I'm now fortunate to be in a position to give back.
Using the skills I’ve learned, I want to make a difference by supporting those who dedicate their time to helping young people.
How it works
Each advertising space is numbered. Simply pick the number for your preferred spot and the dates you’d like your advert to run - it’s that easy!
There are two types of advertising spaces available:
- Portrait: 350px x 500px
- Landscape: 500px x 350px
Choose the format that best suits your advert!
I've chosen these dimensions because they are familiar to us all from mobile phones, and they perfectly accommodate content designed for social media. If you can create an advert that fits the size of your phone screen, it will seamlessly fit the allocated advertising space. I'll also include a link from your advert to your chosen web address.
Whether you're in the tech industry or not, the content of your advert is entirely up to you. Want to promote your courses or resources? No problem. Looking to advertise your YouTube channel or social media profiles? Go for it. Have a product, service, or store you'd like to showcase? That's perfect too.
